Alice in Wonderland

I decided I wanted to try an Alice in Wonderland theme of nails.  They sure turned out GREAT!!!

 I wanted to represent each of the main characters from the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland.  A clock for the White Rabbit, Alice's blue dress and white apron, the Cheshire Cat, tea cups, cookies, and the iconic green Mad Hatter hat, and lastly the Queen of Hearts.

For the Queen, I sculpted a 3D heart with acrylic.  One side in red and the other in black.  Atop the heart sits a gold crown.  

The other characters were created using various colors of Gelish polish.  The clock is 3D pink acrylic with Swarovski crystals surrounding.

Uh Oh!!

Many of you know that in February 2014 my hubby and I were blessed with a little boy.  Becoming a mother has been a wonderful experience and I've had to learn to juggle my family life with my work life.  Unfortunately that means my blog goes ignored.  My plan is to do a better job updating my blog but if you don't see anything new, check out my instagram @denisedoesnails.  I'm REALLY good about posting my latest nail art on instagram.

Because I have neglected my blog for so long, I'm not sure how long my pictures have been missing.  I'll do my best to go back through old posts and find the corresponding nails to go with each entry, but my fear is that they are forever lost.

St. Patrick's Day Nails

A little St. Patrick's Day nail art!

We had a little fun with these super cute St. Patrick's Day nails.  Featuring a frosty beer, rainbow, gold coins, and a leprechaun.

Beer Me nails.  Perfect for St Patricks Day!!  Frosty beers complete with lemons and limes.

Valentine Nails

Everyone loves Valentine Nails!!  Maybe it's the pinks and reds.  Or maybe all the cute hearts and kisses.  Either way, Valentine Nails have always been one of my favorite holiday nails to create.  Here are some of the best Valentine sets from 2014.

Here is a cute set inspired by a photo from Pinterest. My client though they were so cute she had me recreate them.  The white iridescent acrylic is a mix of MAC pigment and clear.

I just LOVE conversation hearts!!  This was a pink fade with 3D hearts.  I hand wrote the words inside each heart.
